This 1 day course is aimed at all levels. From those who have already gained an SIA licence and work in the security industry, but also those who wish to learn a new skill for their own personal benefit whether it be for their profession whatever industry they work in, or as an everyday skill. You will train to survive assaults with edged weapons (knives and bottles), firearms, impact tools such as bats or clubs.
The course is aimed at learners aged 18 however there are no other entry requirements although this is a physical course and so we do advise those with any existing injuries or medical conditions to contact us before booking so we can discuss your particular case. Anyone can learn it and everyone can do it!
This particular course is delivered by one of our highly acclaimed trainers Mr Zeb Glover. Zeb’s career has seen him teaching and operating in numerous countries with world-leading experts. In this course, you will cover how to Utilise your Body & Mind’s Instinctive Behaviours to Stay Safe. You will develop Gross-Motor-Skill Tactics that are highly functional and robust under the pressure & stress of real-world assaults.
How the qualification is assessed
While there is no formal assessment process for this course. Our instructors operate by teaching the theory, demonstrating the practice and having the learner then practice, perfect and perform the skills in return. It is a continuous and ongoing assessment as the day goes on. You will not have to take any exams or tests but you will be required to demonstrate what you are learning in a safe and controlled manner.
Unlike SIA courses, ID would not be required for this course although as a training provider, and due to us issuing a certificate, we would ask that a form of photographic ID is presented. This is to ensure that we issue a certificate to the learner attending and part of our due diligence process. We would prefer to see either a Passport or Driving License (full or provisional) but if you do not have these then please refer to our acceptable ID page to check what you could provide from this list.
Please see the ID requirements page here: ID REQUIREMENTS
But remember, if you are not sure how you can comply with this, please contact us to discuss this.
