What does this mean for you as a prospective learner?
Until now, you would take a paper exam and these would be posted to the awarding body for marking, issuing of results and then a notification to you as the learner if you’ve passed or failed. This could take up to 2 weeks, sometimes longer!
At Pagoda Security, the exams are taken on a tablet device by E-Assessment and you will get an instant mark with a pass/fail meaning if you pass, your certificate is issued there and then! How else does this benefit you ask? This means that at the end of an SIA course, you can apply for your license immediately! No waiting around, no sitting on the edge of your seat wondering if you’ve passed or not. You will likely be working and earning a living before others taking their exams the old way. Even if you don’t quite make the grade, you have the luxury of us being able to take your resit IMMEDIATELY! This applies to all types of exams being SIA courses, APLH Personal License, Health and Safety and many more.

We deliver a wide range of courses to both the security industry and the private market. All of our training is conducted in house with our own trainers. We are delighted to now offer FULLY Funded FIrst AID and SIA Door supervisor Training Courses
T’s and C’s Apply* – Applicants must be at least 19 years of age, living in the EU and have valid ID to comply with the SIA ID requirement. Funding is available to both the unemployed and employed with low income.
Who is this qualification for?
The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. It is designed for learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification learners must attend all 6 days of the course (61 hours of learning).
Course times are: 8:30am – 17:00pm
All learners must have a valid Level 3 Emergency First Aid at work certificate before starting the course, which FSUK will provide and can fund.
Topics covered:
These include the main characteristics of the Private Security Industry, the importance of safe working practices, drug misuse legislation, issues and procedures relevant to the role of a door supervisor, licensing law, queue management, how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations, problem-solving techniques when resolving conflict, physical interventions and the implications of their use and the use of non-aggressive physical skills to protect yourself and others.
Assessment method:
This qualification is assessed by practical assessments and multiple-choice examinations.
Learners must have a valid photo I.D to complete the course.

Cancellations
If your cancellation is made more than 20 working days in advance of the course a full refund will be issued.
If your cancellation is made between 14 and 19 working days in advance of the course 50% of the course fee will be refunded.
If your cancellation is made between 7 and 13 working days in advance of the course 25% of the course fee will be refunded.
Refunds
When a refund is issued to you by Pagoda Security Training Ltd, the refund may take up to 20 working days to be processed. Refunds will be processed by cheque or bank transfer only.
Rescheduling
If you cannot attend and want to reschedule your course to a later date this will be free of charge if we are notified at least 7 working days from the start of the original course.
If you reschedule your course within 7 working days of your original course there will be an additional rescheduling fee of £30 payable.
Non-Attendance
Non-attendance of any course for any reason whatsoever is deemed to be a cancellation with no notice and payment is due in full.
